The creation of Baby Bella Maya:  As an airline pilot and mother of four, Marta
Sala-Rothwell hardly had the time to start a company, but that’s exactly what she
did.  Noticing the wear on her Baby Bjorn infant carrier and wanting to preserve
this product she loved, Marta designed a fashionable slip cover to prolong the life

and update her carrier.  Shortly after launching this innovative product under the

company name, Baby Bella Maya in 2005 it was recognized by JPMA winning the prestigious Innovation Award.
